LittleCaveHero was my first proyect as an Art Director. We were a small team back then on 2010 so I was responsable for the entire game visuals, from UI/UX, concepts, in game assets, technical implementation, etc.
We were a small start-up but managed to gather a small art team to help the production. We had 6 months of development in which we did a city building core game in where the resources were gathered thru a 2d mini game. The amount of features for both aspects of the game pushed us to build almost 2000 assets for release date. From incremental building progression to different tile sets for the mining mini game.
We had a tool created in house that let us build voxel assets very fast, which later on was implemented inside the game to let the users create assets for their cities.

Development started by the end of 2010 and ended first half of 2011. After the release, we did live ops with new quests, mines, buildings and characters for about 6 months.
