While working as the Art Director on Hellfire: The summoning, I had the chance to do Art proposals to pitch a game idea to Lucas/Disney for a Star Wars game. After succeeding on getting a contract DeNA put me in charge as the Art Director for the Star Wars game. After realizing the amount of work that was needed and the specific needs for the production, I end up giving the position to a co-worker. Instead of doing the AD, I did work as a technical artist in charge of production. During development I had to evaluate optimal solutions to integrate all visual aspects for the gameplay. From characters, animations, backgrounds, vfx, etc. I also had to manage the art vendors for many assets in the game, mainly 3D towers and animated characters.
After RC was ready, I took back the Art Direction and was in charge of weekly meetings with Disney Japan and Lucas for content evaluation and cross feedback.
Live ops duration was for about 6 months in where we did expand the worlds, enemy units, heroes, special powers and many other features on the game. Events were running weekly until the cancellation of the project.
